Job Summary

A growing national Hotel Management Group seeks an experienced Director of Finance with significant Hotel experience for a Marriott property in the DC area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong tenure at full-service properties. Director of Finance Benefits:

  • Salary - $120,000 to $140,000
  • Health Insurance - 2/3 paid by the employer for the employee
  • Dental, & Vision Plans
  • 3 weeks PTO!!!

Director of Finance Essential Duties:

  • Assist Accountants or on-property Controllers with month-end close
  • Coordinate year-end information transfer to the CPA of all entities
  • Report Revenue by the 3rd of each month -
  • Payroll needs to be sent to Bank for wire and will need to be approved by
  • Review all Sales Bonus payouts, ensure that proper verified backup is on file, and is approved
  • Execute Weekly email A/P report & reconciliation
  • Review AP Open item reports weekly for invoices to be paid
  • Generate Cash Forecasts
  • Initiate review of financial statements of accountants, provide trend reports - noting any questions, and return to an accountant to research

Director of Finance Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting is preferredwith a minimum of five years of related experience in all Accounting aspects or 1 year as a Controller. A combination of education and experience equivalent to a B.A. or B.S. degree in accounting is preferred.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Organizational ability is paramount, as annual audits of the books need supporting backups that can be easily accessed. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Working knowledge of all areas of accounting (A/R, A/P, Payroll, collections, inventory control, credit, etc.) 
  • Prior Hotel Accounting experience is a MUST
