HVAC/R Service Technician Job Description


Our client's mission is full service HVAC/R contractor specializing in commercial AC, heating, and refrigeration services. As a Technician, you will be at the heart of our operations by diagnosing, repairing, installing and providing planned maintenance on a broad range of HVAC/R, boilers, furnaces, and coolers and dishwashing equipment. 


HVAC/R Service Technician Requirements


  • A minimum of 2 years of HVAC journeyman level operation, maintenance and repair experience in the HVAC/Refrigeration trade
  • Relevant technical training, licenses, and/or certifications (i.e EPA)
  • Commercial refrigeration equipment repair experience is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent


HVAC/R Service Technician Responsibilities


  • Provide service to all customers in your area by demonstrating your mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and ability to read diagrams and schematics.
  • Inspect, repair, and install HVAC equipment including refrigeration and air conditioning compressors.
  • Communicate with manufacturers as needed, to help with diagnoses and parts identification
  • Produce accurate and timely administrative documents, such as work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory
