Job Summary

Join our fast-paced team supporting busy litigation attorneys in a dynamic office setting.


Litigation Legal Assistant Basic Duties:

  • Draft, review, and edit legal documents
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail
  • Open new files and run conflict searches
  • Organize and manage client files in both paper and electronic formats
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders
  • Calendar management for appointments and filings
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and inspections
  • Assist in trial preparation
  • Assemble binders for depositions and mediations
  • Update case lists and trial/mediation schedules
  • Prepare attorney expense reports
  • Make travel arrangements for attorneys
  • Process vendor invoices
  • Assist in the training of new hires
  • Review and release time for attorneys
  • Handle billing-related tasks, including invoicing and client follow-up
  • Provide coverage for other assistants during PTO

Litigation Legal Assistant Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Team player, creative problem-solving, ability to work independently, and computer skills
  • 3+ years of extensive litigation secretarial/assistant experience
  • Working knowledge of Florida Court procedures, eService, and eFiling
  • Exposure to FileSite is a plus
