Kitchen Manager requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent in education and experience. Some college or degree preferred. Culinary certification, a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety, cost management, personnel safety, sanitation, product preparation, legal compliance, and personnel development.
- Able to lead and inspire people towards successful completion of goals. Coach, motivate, provide feedback, and develop others.
- Ability to lead by example using hands on work ethic.
- Excellent collaboration, organizational, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work accurately and meet all deadlines with timeliness quality and frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work and thrive independently and in a team environment, focused on achieving results.
- Ability to communicate effectively to all internal and external levels while maintaining cooperative working relationships with home office, location personnel, vendors, all levels of management and owners.
- Ability to assess individual restaurant kitchen performance to provide operational action plans for positive change
