Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Back-End Web Developer to help encompass architecting, developing, and maintaining robust server-side applications that drive our web experiences, while prioritizing security and scalability. Must be authorized to work in the US and must reside in one of 12 states (see below)! (NO SPONSORSHIP provided.)
Back-End Web Developer Responsibilities:
- Devise and implement efficient server-side solutions of web applications.
- Collaborate effectively with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and cross-functional teams.
- Develop APIs, databases, and server-side logic.
- Execute robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
- Utilize your expertise to optimize application performance and scalability.
- Skillfully design databases and implement query optimization techniques.
- Work with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and continuous integration processes.
- Actively participate in architectural discussions to contribute to the evolution of the technology landscape.
Back-End Web Developer Qualifications:
- BA in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or possess equivalent practical experience).
- 3+ years experience as a Back-End Developer, using languages such as Python, Java, or Ruby.
- Bring hands-on experience with server-side frameworks such as Flask, Django, Ruby on Rails, or similar technologies.
- Display proficiency in designing and interacting with databases, encompassing both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Have a proficient understanding of API design principles, RESTful architecture, and the seamless integration of third-party APIs.
- Ideally, possess experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Ideally, have familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Back-End Web Developer Compensation:
- $105k - $125k salary, 5% annual bonus
- 80%+ Employer Medical coverage (including prescription and vision plans)
