Job Summary

We seek a Senior Field Systems Engineer to lead a small team responsible for deploying, installing, and maintaining a Department of Defense cyber training platform. Come work for a company that's been voted a top place to work in Central Florida for over 10 years.

Senior Field Systems Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for conducting installations of new equipment at customer sites and data centers
  • Required to assist in troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis in the event of a patch, component, device, or system failure. Must be able to coordinate productively and diplomatically with vendors, team members, developers, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Demonstrated experience in a technically demanding environment with the ability to execute hands-on while maintaining the overall installation schedules
  • Able to work with a large team of engineers setting up complex software and hardware for data center and cloud environments
  • The ability to learn new technologies quickly and apply that knowledge in the field by installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and testing the platform
  • Must be skilled with Linux system administration and have functional knowledge of VMware vCenter
  • Must have experience deploying and managing applications in a Kubernetes environment. Requires knowledge of ArgoCD, Kustomize, secret management, and other core enablers of a Kubernetes stack
  • Must professionally deliver information via tools such as Office, Visio, Jira, Confluence, and Slack

Senior Field Systems Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as IT, computer science, systems or software engineering from an accredited college or university and 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be a US Citizen with active SECRET clearance, with the ability to obtain a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance
  • IAT II or greater. Security+, CISSP, or equivalent required six months of hire
  • The position will require up to 10% travel time
